Historically, Chinese Land Forces have relied on the Soviet Union / Russia as its primary materials supplier though, more recently, this has become Western power France. Most notable today is the growing presence of local Chinese solutions to satisfy equally-local requirements in Main Battle Tank, Armored Fighting Vehicle, artillery, MRLS, and security vehicle categories. All told, the service manages and maintains nearly 200,000 armored and unarmored vehicles and a sizeable artillery force, ranking as one of the top four land forces anywhere in the world.
